About Nordisk Hage
Built on Craft, Driven by Nature
Nordisk Hage was founded in 2018 by Marc Lindgren, an architect who discovered that his true passion lay not in buildings, but in the spaces between them — the gardens, terraces, and landscapes that connect people to the natural world.
After years of studying architecture in Oslo and working on residential projects across Scandinavia, Marc returned to Stavanger with a clear vision: to create a landscape architecture practice that combines the rigor of architectural design with the soul of traditional Norwegian craftsmanship.
Today, Nordisk Hage is a team of six passionate professionals — designers, craftspeople, and horticulturists — united by a shared belief that exceptional outdoor spaces are built with patience, skill, and an intimate understanding of the Norwegian landscape.
Our Values
The principles that guide every stone we place, every tree we plant, and every space we create.
Craftsmanship
Every stone is hand-placed, every joint considered. We build with the patience and precision of traditional Norwegian craft.
Local Materials
We source Norwegian stone, Scandinavian wood, and native plants — materials that belong to this landscape and age beautifully.
Sustainability
Our designs work with nature, not against it. Permeable surfaces, native planting, and long-lasting materials minimize environmental impact.
Attention to Detail
From the angle of a pathway to the texture of a wall, we obsess over the details that transform good landscapes into exceptional ones.
